SWIMMIAMI Trailblazes

Miami (July 14, 2016) – “W” marks the spot, literally, as W South Beach hosts LDJ Productions and SBI Production’s second season of runway shows, SWIMMIAMI 2017. Designers, buyers and media from around the world will be welcomed to view the 2017 collections on two glamorous runways at W South Beach.

This season, SWIMMIAMI teamed up with bobble® and Lycra to encourage sustainable and eco-friendly interaction on site. Several designers will be showcasing eco-conscious fabrics produced by sponsor, Lycra, and bobble, the leader in sustainable and stylish drinking solutions, will provide refillable water stations where guests can stay hydrated (and skip single-serve bottled water) with bobble Insulate, the brand’s new insulated, stainless steel bottle that keeps beverages cold for up to 24 hours.

To kick off the weekend-long runway extravaganza, bobble set up an interactive cabana at the W South Beach’s WET Deck. The poolside venue will host a plethora of runway shows throughout SWIMMIAMI. With several state-of-the-art insulated bottle designs, bobble is able to share their sustainable efforts with fashion industry icons, media and buyers from all over the world. An ice luge set up with bobble branded water bottles frozen inside allowed guests of the opening night party to taste multiple chilled signature frozen fruit infused water.

Multiple refillable stations are set up throughout the W South Beach inside and out to accommodate the insulated bottles. No need for one-time use bottles for the weekend, each attendee at SWIMMIAMI will receive their very own bobble.

If sustainability isn’t enough, bobble will also be hosting a manicure pop-up in the exclusive on-site media bungalow. VIPs will be treated to Butter London manicures from 4pm to 6pm on July 15th through 18th. Press and media are invited to receive manicures in bobble’s signature hues, so they can sip in style while attending every unique designer catwalk presentation.

SWIMMIAMI kicked-off with an opening party on July 14, 2016 at W South Beach’s WET Deck. Runway shows are programmed from Friday, July 15 through Sunday, July 17, and the current schedule features over 13 shows from swimwear’s hottest designers including Filthy Haanz, Frankie’s Bikinis, Gottex, Hot as Hell, Indah, Issa de’ Mar, KAOHS, Lybethras, Mint Swim, Myra Swim, Revel Rey and San Lorenzo Bikinis.
