Iconic American designer Tommy Hilfiger hosted a presentation of his Spring 2016 men’s tailored and underwear collections, followed by an exclusive VIP dinner.
AMSTERDAM, THE NETHERLANDS (June 2015) – Tommy Hilfiger, which is owned by PVH Corp. [NYSE: PVH], announces that American designer Tommy Hilfiger attended London Collections: Men Spring 2016 to host a presentation of his men’s tailored and underwear collections, with personal appointments held at the Tommy Hilfiger Brompton Road showroom.
“I’ve proudly supported London Collections: Men since its inaugural season, and I’m excited to now be participating with an exclusive presentation of our Spring 2016 collections at our Brompton Road showroom,” said Tommy Hilfiger. “Our involvement is particularly exciting for us in light of our announcement of Rafael Nadal as the global brand ambassador for Tommy Hilfiger underwear and tailored beginning this fall.”
The collections were showcased against bespoke décor and backdrops created especially for the event. The brand introduced its TH Flex capsule, launching Spring 2016, which features suits, shirts and outerwear made of high performance fabrics for today’s active, urban man. At the presentation, the dedicated TH Flex area included a tennis court-inspired floor, mannequins posed in active stances wearing TH Flex suits, and artistic installations of the Tommy Hilfiger and TH Flex logos made from red, white and blue tennis balls.
Tommy Hilfiger Tailored was divided amongst two areas for sartorial suits and fashion suits, respectively, which were arranged against wall of tropical plants to channel the Spring 2016 collection’s “island hopping” theme. The Tommy Hilfiger underwear collection was presented on live models against a backdrop that mimicked the look of an authentic sports locker room, all inspired by the brand’s global ambassadorship with tennis star Rafael Nadal.
Following the presentations, Mr. Hilfiger hosted an intimate industry dinner at London’s iconic and recently-reopened restaurant, The Ivy. Hilfiger welcomed an array of international friends of the brand to the cocktail reception and dinner, including music icon Lionel Richie; actor Sean Bean; models Johannes Huebl, David Gandy, Oliver Cheshire, and Robert Konjic; musician Tinie Tempah; and socialite Jack Guiness.
