With all the controversy going on about Miss USA – Miss Universe because of Donald Trump’s offensive comments about Latinos, Miss USA – Miss Universe has been getting a bad rap from some angry people.

But let’s not be angry with Miss USA – Miss Universe who have done more good for the world than most; let’s just blame Donald Trump for not keeping his insulting comments to himself.

Here’s why you shouldn’t hate on Miss USA – Miss Universe:

Viewers from all around the world turn on their televisions each year to see who will win the crown and live the dream of many women, acting as an icon for people across the globe. During their title, these women are given the tools to be personally and professionally enhanced through work with organizations helping to expand on their personal career goals, humanitarian fellowship, and be a voice to help change the world positively.

Both Miss Universe and Miss USA are moved to New York City right away where they work closely with their charitable alliances. Although helping these charities requires long hours and hard work, professional ties are made while traveling all around the world as a generous ambassador on behalf of the organization.

Since 2004 Miss USA has been a partner with Best Buddies a nonprofit organization dedicated to establishing a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for one-to-one friendships, integrated employment and leadership development for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Starting in 1998 Miss USA has been partners with Gilda’s Club a community organization who provide meeting places for people living with cancer, their family and friends can join others to get and build social support.  They are also partners with Project Sunshine who provide free educational, recreational and social programs for children and families facing medical challenges.

The Miss USA – Miss Universe Organization continues to set the bar for beauty pageants of its kind, and will continue to showcase some of the most talented and proficient women for generations to come.

All in all, Miss USA – Miss Universe is doing a lot of good for the world, and a little pageantry can never hurt anybody.
