After last years 10th Anniversary of Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim in Miami Beach, many were looking forward to this years encore performance. You will now need to wait another year since Mercedes-Benz Fashion Week Swim at the Raleigh Hotel has been cancelled. Mercedes-Benz is no longer a sponsor and IMG (the company behind the shows) was having difficulties locating a new venue to host the annual event. Expect IMG to be back in 2016 with a new look, location and sponsor in what insiders are speculating to be a bigger and better event.
All is not lost since the other Swim Week and Trade Show events will go on as planned. Funkshion Fashion Week Miami Beach Swim should be the biggest beneficiary to this years loss of IMG since they will be hosting 6 days of Swim Week events at 5 locations including: A state of the art tent on Collins Avenue between 21st – 22nd Street, and 4 bridged runways over the water at The Setai Hotel, SOHO Beach House, The SLS and The Thompson Hotel. Each venue is expected to host an exclusive show every day followed by an after party.
It appears there is no need to cancel your flight and reservations as we are expecting it to be another Great Swim Week after all…
