MATIERE APPOINTS MATT FENIGER AS BRAND MARKETING MANAGER

New York, July 2, 2015 – MATIERE (http://www.matiere.com/) announced today that it has hired Matt Feniger as Brand Marketing Manager for their Matiere and Strand collections. Feniger comes to the brand from his most recent position covering the menswear market as the New York menswear editor for leading international trend forecasting service WGSN. He has held editorial positions at eBay, Fashion Snoops and INK Magazine. Feniger also has previous experience working in fashion at Vogue and V Magazine, product development at Marc by Marc Jacobs and P.R. at Michelle Finocchi Public Relations.

Matiere CEO Scot Shandalove says, “We are thrilled to have Matt join our team as we venture into an exciting time for the company. He brings a millennial insight to our marketing approach from a multi-disciplined background in trend forecasting, editorial, production and marketing.”

Feniger has been tasked with helping to provide the vision, mission, goals and strategies for the brand while overseeing advertising and marketing activities to ensure message consistency and improve market share. This also includes creating and managing on-brand partnerships and collaborations. He will be continuously monitoring market trends and working with all teams — design, PR and sales — analyzing P&L and ensuring the brand resonates with current and potential customers.

“Matiere left a big impression on me while covering the trade shows a few seasons ago and I’ve been watching the brand closely ever since,” says Feniger. “Scot and Jake’s passion for the brand together with their keen attention to material and design has really positioned Matiere as an emerging label within the contemporary menswear market and I am very excited to come on board during such an exciting time.”
