(New York, NY) – DRAFTspace COMPLETE PARTS, June 11-14, 2015 (Hours 12 – 9 PM) spotlights the facets and perspectives of fine and contemporary jewelry in an installation showcase that brings together outstanding designers and artists from around the world to show their creations to New York’s leading fashion and media trendsetters at The Highline Loft 508 W 26th 5FL Street, New York. Meticulously curated pieces are complemented by and juxtaposed against visually engaging photographs in a uniquely stylized presentation that enables viewers to contextualize how jewelry is worn and perceived.

Each participating designer was chosen for having a distinct vision both inspired and inspiring in their collections of wearable art. The show also explores stylistic polarities and the blending of crafted artisanal contemporary jewelry in new forms and materials on the one hand, and fine couture jewelry with classical precious gemstones on the other.  Avoiding the haphazard and numbing marketplace format of common trade shows, DRAFTSpace COMPLETE PARTS features only select pieces from each collection, allowing them to truly shine in an eye-catching art gallery setting.

As part of DRAFTspace’s dedication to helping develop talents, sections of the exhibition will feature select pieces from the 2015 graduating class of The Fashion Institute of Technology’s Jewelry Design Department as well as the Art Start Portrait Project, the non-profit program of providing disadvantaged kids with creative programs to supplement artistic and personal development. A portion of sales generated during the event run will be donated to the Art Start program. Admission is free to the general public. While all the jewelry and photographs on display can be purchased throughout the event’s three-day duration, anyone can also register free online at www.draftspace.org to attend the deeply discounted Jewelry Snap Sale Saturday on June 13 from 12-6PM.

About DRAFTspace

DRAFTspace was established in 2013 by a dynamic team of professionals with extensive backgrounds in art, fashion, architecture, film and show production. Founders Jun H. Lee and Miyonne Lee combined their diverse experiences and interests to form DRAFTspace as a platform that allows outstanding artists and emerging designers to be “discovered” by influential industry connoisseurs. The group asserts that however prevalent society’s reliance is on the internet, physical engagement has a deeper and more lasting impact in how everyone connects with each other. Since its inception, DRAFTspace has staged several successful events designed as conceptual presentations that engage viewers in an immersive experience of works of artists and designers in bold, unconventional ways.
