I recently placed a poll on Facebook asking my friends to identify the first three things that come to mind when they think about Las Vegas. The most popular responses included gambling, casinos, food and drinks, hotels and finally shopping. Most people forget that Las Vegas is one of the most popular shopping experiences in the world. There are over 1,000 stores encompassing the shops, malls and outlets of Las Vegas. Some of the worlds greatest stores can be found in Las Vegas. You would be hard pressed not to find that special something that you are looking for.
I had the pleasure of visiting the Fashion Show Mall and the Forum Shops at Caesars.
The Fashion Show Mall is home to over 200 retailers. It’s located right in the heart of the Strip on Las Vegas Blvd. The Fashion Show Mall is home to Michael Kors, Pandora, Calvin Klein and Ted Baker of London just to name a few. On weekends, the Fashion Show Mall turns itself into a fashion runway. In the middle of the mall, the latest fashion are presented to the delight of fashionista’s from all over the world.
After a day at the Fashion Show Mall I visited the Forum Shops at Caesar’s Palace. There are over 160 specialty shops at the Forum. This is another popular shopping mall that offers great shops and fine dining for thousands of visitors every year. Guests are treated to a replica of the great paintings and statues that defined art and culture from centuries gone by. In addition, there is a large aquarium in the center of this mall. It is home to exotic fish, stingrays and a few sharks. If that isn’t enough, there is also an epic battle that takes place between fire and ice.
One of the things that I enjoyed the most about my shopping experience was the friendly sales associates in each store that I visited. I realize that some of the stores that are in the Las Vegas malls and outlets can easily be found in New York. My most pressing question was; “Why would anyone visiting Las Vegas want to visit the same stores that exist in New York?” I stopped in Macy’s and spoke with sales associate James Love. James explained several advantages benefiting the New York shopper in Las Vegas. “The Macy’s here at the Fashion Show mall has two separate stores, one for men, and the other for women and children. If you have a Macy’s card you will save 20% off of your total bill. In addition this store is cheaper than the one in New York. You can get the same designs for less. You will also come across fashions that are exclusively made for the Macy’s stores out on the west coast.”

For the person who is focused on looking their best wherever they go, the MAC store in Las Vegas has you covered. According to “Vaughn” from the MAC store; “The MAC store in Las Vegas is the biggest MAC store on the West coast. This is definitely the place where you want to get your makeup done. We provide the makeup for some of Las Vegas’s biggest acts including some of the performers for Cirque Du Soleil.”
If you are looking for the hottest fashions in the world, the finest restaurants to dine in and an experience that is truly second to none, then the Las Vegas shopping experience is the place to be!
